Hole 1 at Bella Vista is a welcoming yet strategic opening hole. It is a 579 yard hole par 5 from the tips. The fairway slopes from right to left and can give a player a decision to make with a small creek running through the middle of the fairway roughly 125 yards away from the green. The green slopes from right to left and is protected by bunkers on the back and left side of the hole. It’s a hole that sets the tone for the round; not the hardest hole on the course but definitely a challenge right from the beginning for all different types of players.

Hole 2 is a tricky hole that is an uphill climb from the very beginning. The hole starts with a tee shot sitting below the fairway working up to a fairway with multiple bunkers left and one solo bunker right. This uphill slope prevents players from having a short chip into the green. The green is uphill as well and is protected by a bunker on the front right of the hole. There is a subtle slope that divides the front and the back of this green which adds a fun challenge for golfers trying to find their way into the hole.

Hole 3 is the first par 3 on the course and tees vary from 180 to 135 yards depending on your tee selection. The green is accompanied with two large bunkers on the back and left side of the hole. It is a large and welcoming green that invites golfers to take direct aim at the pin and go for the hole. Pros tip: the hole plays one club short traditionally.

Hole 4 is a shorter par 4 that has a slight dog leg left. From the tee box, a player is not able to see the green but is able to see an intimidating sand trap just to the right of the fairway. Tee ball accuracy is key here. With an approach shot hitting the fairway, the golfer will have a slightly downhill shot into a green protected by a large bunker on the front right of the hole. There is also potential trouble going long on this hole because of the steep slope and trees directly behind the green.

Hole 5 is a fun challenge for all golfers. It is a reachable par 4 with bunkers surrounding the front and back of the green. Whether a player decides to lay up or go for the green, there is potential trouble with both options. On the left side of the fairway there is a line of rocks with rough left of it protecting the fairway. The layup shot also has a forced carry from a creek bed and waste area right that bends down the center of the hole and splits the fairway in two. Approaching the green, there is woods left of the hole and bunkers short and long. Don’t be confused this short par 4 can cause big trouble!

Hole 6 is a fairly welcoming hole for golfers with a wide-open fairway with no bunkers on the left or the right. There is some elevated mounds protecting the left-hand side of the fairway. From the tee box, the golfer can see the hole as it leans just slightly to the right of the fairway ahead of them. As you approach the green, the hole begins to tighten up as the green is protected by 2 large bunkers on the front left and front right of the hole. The green itself is slightly elevated and made difficult with subtle undulations making putting a bit tricky at times. Overall, this is a flatter green that leads to potential long putts being holed.

Coming up to Hole 7, you will see a fun and unique par 3. Although short, it comes with many different features to make it a challenging hole. From the tee box, the golfer is faced with a large bunker directly in the front of the green accompanied with bunkers on the right, left, and back side of the green as well. Another challenging aspect of this hole is the large ridge that splits the green down the middle from front to back. The golfer must be precise in which level to hit the ball or else a 3 putt is imminent.

Hole 8 is a short par 4 at Bella Vista that offers both a challenge and opportunity. Although it is one of the shorter par 4’s on the course, the golfer must take into consideration the pond that lies at the bottom of the fairway that also borders the green. Coming down the hill, the golfer will have an approach shot that has little room for error. The green is protected by water sitting on the left side and a bunker running along it’s right. This hole rewards precision and tests the accuracy of all golfers.

Hole 9 presents a tough but exciting challenge for golfers. It represents the hardest handicap hole on the course. The tee shot requires some accuracy with bunkers running up the right and left sides of the fairway. Hitting the green is where the challenge intensifies. The green is surrounded by two deep bunkers protecting the front and one bunker on the back left side of the green as well. The slope of the green also adds and extra challenge for a golfer to think about as it slopes from left to right with many other subtle movements in it.

Hole 10 is an exciting par 5 that gives opportunities to golfers to start their back 9 with a low score. The tee box sits below the fairway ahead with visible bunkers on the right side. The hole doglegs sharply to the left and gives the golfer an opportunity to either go for the green or lay up just short of the green. Just before the green, there is a steep drop off in front of the green and also a very deep bunker in front of the right side of the green. The green has many subtle features in it making it a fun and challenging putting surface for any golfer.

Hole 11 is a tight hole that may tend to take driver out of the hands of some golfers. This hole is a short par 4 that has trees running along both sides of the hole making the hole more and more narrow the further down the fairway you go. Once safe in the fairway, the golfer will see a green that is protected by two bunkers that sit in the front left and right sides. The approach shot distance has to be dialed in, as there is no room behind the green. This is a great and challenging short par 4.

Hole 12 is an exciting par 3 that has many different surprises for golfers to find. From the tee box, the golfer can see the green along with a steep drop off on the front and right sides of the green. There are also bunkers protecting the left and back sides of the green. Once on the green, the golfer will notice a harsh slope from left to right making the upcoming putt a tricky and challenging one.

Hole 13 is a long par 4 that presents a challenge to all golfers with many different skill sets. The par 4 starts with a drive into an uphill sloping fairway which has bunkers left and trees right. The following shot into the green tests the golfer’s distance and precision. The green is accompanied by a bunker in the front and also a steep drop off on the right side of the green with thick rough. Some believe 13 to be the most challenging hole on the property!

Hole 14 is one of Bella Vista’s signature holes and offers a spectacular island green. The first challenge golfers are faced with is hitting the green with little room for error. There is a bunker on the left side of the green that discourages golfers from going right at the hole at times. A fun feature of the green is the ridge that separates the back from the front which gives the golfer another issue to address while taking their tee shot. Remember this is one of the larger greens on the course, block out all the water and think POSITIVE!

Hole 15 offers a moderate challenge to golfers being a straight hole with minimal risk. There are woods that mark the out of bounds to the right of the hole that can cause some trouble along with a couple of bunkers that sit on the left side of the fairway. Once in the fairway the golfer can hit their approach shot into a wide but narrow green that has a bunker threatening from the right side. The green is tricky to judge on the approach shot and slopes from right to left and away from you. The green itself has a few different features that can make putting from different areas a tricky situation.

Hole 16 is a very picturesque par 5 that invites the golfer to swing away and go low. From the tee box, one can see three large bunkers protecting the right side of the fairway while the left has a few trees scattered throughout. The layup area is also protected by bunkers at about 100 yards from the hole. The is protected by a large bunker on the front left side. The slope of the green varies being that the green is one of the bigger ones on the course, but majority of it slopes from back left to front right. This hole gives you a chance to get a shot back on the field.

Hole 17 is shorter par 4 that invites golfers to swing away. From the tee box, the hole is straightforward with the green being visible at the end of the fairway. There are trees running up the right side with out of bounds closer to the green along the right. Overhanging trees on the right side of the fairway can cause some golfers a little trouble. Protecting the green is a large bunker guarding the entire front. Green is sloped pretty significantly from left to right.

Hole 18 is a beautiful par 3 that comes with a spectacular view. This hole can be challenging with a downhill shot to a green that has bunkers right and water left. Club selection is key. All sides are guarded with trouble. Pines also guard the right-hand side of the hole. This hole is a great decider of the final wager. The green itself slopes back to front and has a collection area toward the front right.
